I have a script that gets content off the internets and lights an LED accordingly, and some more code that randomly updates the LED so it flickers, kind of like a candle. They're just not bright enough, you would notice them in a dark room but they're clearly only indicator lights and not the equivalent of a real candle. Going to try some extra bright LEDs and put as much power through them as possible without frying the raspberry pi, but I might have to rethink this - separate power for the lights, and only use the computer for control. That's obviously the best way but I was hoping for a shortcut...
raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
