Up really early this morning, and off to the gym! OK, going to the sports centre to sign number one son up for gymnastics. It's first come first served when it's time to renew, so you have to be there early to get a place. The last few times a friend has signed us up, as their daughter is in the really popular class where if you are not there before the doors open you don't get in. I think we'd just about get in if we went there when it opened and just joined the queue, but not for their class. They're on holiday this week so I'm taking our turn. It's not even 5am as I write this. Planned to get up at five anyway, so I should be there TWO HOURS BEFORE registration opens, that's an hour before the sports centre doors even open I think. Woke up at 4.30 and thought it's not really worth going back to sleep.
Also Clare was snoring.
We still have no water, plumber could not make it by the end of the day, said he'd take his son to something and then come back at 7.30 but I said not to worry. We've turned it off at the stop cock, turning it back on temporarily to get drinks and flush the toilet so we're OK. Would not like to live like this another day though, when I turn the mains back on the kitchen tap is just streaming.
I tried to isolate just the kitchen tap, there should be a valve under the sink. Could not really see properly, found one, turned it on, but it was the supply to the dish washer we do not have so suddenly water gushing everywhere! Quickly turned that off, tried what looks like an isolation valve but didn't seem to cut the supply to that tap so have just left it. I'm sure the plumber will make me feel stupid when he arrives quickly fixing it.
Right, 5am now, time to go!
