Blog2017 ≫ Sean Lock very funny

⬆️Awesome Brighton weekender

Comedy was great, better than I expected. We had a support, wasn't sure if there would be, it was Andy Robinson who we've seen recently supporting someone else, Jo Brand maybe? He did just about the same set, so it was good but not hilarious.

Sean Lock was excellent, lots of stuff we could really relate to like midlife crisis (well that I can relate to) and him pretending to be a mum on mumsnet which is a topic I bore Clare with all the time.

The show felt a bit too long to me, I'm used to the snappier shows of Edinburgh but everyone got their moneysworth.

We were up in the Circle in row D, so a bit too far from the stage with our bad eyesight to see the whites of his eyes, but we could see that he's changed his style a bit. He's shaved off all his hair1 so he looks even more like my cousin Lee than ever.

We didn't go anywhere after, just back to our hotel, watched some TV and drank some wine. It was really busy out and about, and we were a bit tired to battle the crowds. How sad, I even told myself before the weekend this would not happen and I would definitely live every minute of this trip. But when it comes to it, I do just like sitting sometimes, especially in preference to elbowing through a hipster crowd.
