Blog2017 ≫ Saturday lunch: Harvester

We had lunch in a Harvester, as it suited everyone's requirements and was close to where we were. Again we would not have gone here without the kids, but it was good. A popular spot too it's called the Madeira and is next to the Sea Life Centre. I remember it being something else on previous visits I'm sure but I can't quite figure out what, maybe was a pub.

They have good vegan options, something nice for everyone. Mum had "fish and chips" style battered haloumi, adventurous. Dad had some mega meat grill thing with ribs and chicken and we thought it'd given him a heart attack as he had sudden heartburn during the meal...

There was a hen party on a big table next to us, they didn't look very happy about it, particularly one of the mums sat on the end, maybe they'd had a falling out. Thing One dropped his iron man toy that he'd won at the dolphin derby into one of their dinners as we were leaving, I missed this but Clare was embarrassed by it. The lady in question was ok, said she'd had enough anyway, good of her. They didn't look like they would have kicked off about it, but maybe if we'd caught them later during their weekend they might have done. Brighton's so busy, we didn't bump into them again.
