Blog2017 ≫ Pub, uh, four of the weekend? The Hawley Arms

⬆️Great weekend in London: day two

We went back to the hotel after dinner and put the boys to bed again. Actually Clare went off for a walk to get her step count up and we went back to the hotel, and then watched a little Ninja Warrior UK, we all love that. Then one went to bed and Clare came back and went downstairs to play battleships with the other I think while I sat and waited for the snoring. Then it was my turn to go out, so I thought I'd check out The Hawley Arms. This was really trendy for a while, then it burned down, then it reopened again. I think I only went in there before it was trendy, and had not been again since. I think the security guy on the door thought twice about letting me in, did I look like trouble? Or too old? Or too drunk? I was not at this point, though we had had a couple with dinner. Anyway he looked me straight in the eye and said "are you ok?" then let me in. It was heaving in there, very popular, still very trendy. I had one beer, it was good, and then headed off for more of a walk.
