Blog2016 ≫ Cheap DIY RFID wallet hack

Friend is looking at rfid wallets, that is a special wallet that will provide extra protection from someone trying to illicitly take contactless payments from you. In theory someone could brush up against you with a contactless payment type machine and swipe some money from you. Put your cards in a special wallet and they can't. I think these things look really expensive1, anything that people are going to panic about will be, but it seems I have this already, more or less for free. I've been using a Muji card case2 as a wallet for years and years, it's a tiny aluminium card holder. It does the job for me, and it's a sheet of metal on either side of your cards so it's an RFID wallet too. And it's 3.50, bargain. There's a stainless steel option3 for 4.50, but I like the aluminium one. I think this is the second one I've had ever, the catch on the first one snapped eventually. Anyway, recommended!
