I have previously written up my DIY automated blinds solution here, it was 40 and ties in with my existing home automation, nice. Just seen on Vesternet Soma Smart Shades1 that look like a neater version of this. It's not out yet though, and I suspect the price is going to be higher... it works via bluetooth though, and is solar powered and a lot smaller, and still gives manual control. If it's not too much I'll give it a go, I'd like to add this control to the boys rooms.
