Blog2016 ≫ Twenty five years ago today I was at Pop Will Eat Itself

... supported by my favourite band of the time Atom Seed. I went with Stu, who last time I mentioned here he popped up with a reply. I have not seen him for about twenty five years then it looks like, how odd. We were both on the sponsored training course code name NIXS90 learning to be software engineers with Nixdorf, who became Siemens Nixdorf around the time we started. Guessing we were on our placement at the Bracknell HQ and trekked into London for this gig, though I did go to gigs in London while on the way to other placements around the country so who knows.

I think, like a tool, I wore my painted lab coat to this gig, not quite sure what I was thinking.

I liked Atom Seed more than PWEI at this time, perhaps I still do. Just found this page of mp3 downloads1 while googling in vain for more info about this gig. I think it was probably reviewed in the Melody Maker, or NME but I don't have it.

I don't have a ticket for this one either, there were a few around this time that I don't. Maybe we paid on the door? I remember we paid on the door for Nirvana about this time.

UPDATE: sure I did have a ticket for this one, I think it had a holographic security thing on it, hmm.
