Blog2015 ≫ Still not convinced by The Hunters

⬆️Splendid but rushed weekend

Birthday lunch out for my Nan, she's eighty five you know, and we went to the Hunters as it's just the right sort of place for her. Country pub style and roast dinners and quite relaxed. They rustled something up for me, a vegetable curry, though they made me feel a bit awkward about it. I think they like to have their food all portioned up way in advance, they don't like being flexible. It was nice enough, fruity sort of curry, I'm sure it was from a packet, it was identical to the last one I had there.

Beer there would be nice, but you have to drive out to it, it's a long way, I had to drive home again after, so no beer for me.

Andy recommends The Black Dog which is somewhere nearby so I'd like to try there next time...
