Blog2015 ≫ Splendid but rushed weekend

Nan's birthday so headed to Mum and Dad's for the weekend. Also Dom's birthday this weekend, and we can't do both as everyone we know would also be out so no chance of babysitter, so I went to Portchester with the boys and Clare stayed here.

Slightly crappy drive down there, left early but got caught up in an accident between junction 8 and 9 of the m25. There in about three hours though, time for lunch and then headed into Fareham for the emergency services open day. The boys got to go on blood motorbikes (they deliver blood, rather than run on it) and in a fire engine and things, some pictures1:

Number one son and I were interviewed for the Portsmouth Evening News2 so hoping to see us mentioned in there. I was a fool, the lady reporter asked me how old I was and I said 21, clearly a lie which she wasn't having. A friend of Kerry's knocked five years off her age in this story3, so I could have been a bit creative. Hope they use a picture of Number one son, will be nice to see the names in print anyway.

Went OUT Saturday night, was not planning to, but was a lovely bonus. I was actively planning to stay in but then saw Andy and though I can't miss a rare opportunity to go to the pub with an old friend.

Had curry for tea and lunch out the next day which I will report back on independently for full linkage.

Back home later, slightly stressful drive as number two son was upset about needing the toilet or not needing the toilet. He's doing really well without the nappy but he's still not happy about it.

💬 Had our tea from Nahidz - not so sure I'd go there again though

💬 Drinks OUT with Andy at the Miners Arms

💬 Still not convinced by The Hunters

💬 Oh also bonus fattening meal from New Wok Express
