Blog2015 ≫ Swimtastic weekend

Achieved quite a lot this weekend really, lovely. Clare was out with Jim trying to buy new duvets or something, doing a bit of reorganising at his house, gently, not ready to redecorate yet. They did not achieve much I don't think, but it was a baby step. While they were out we got on with Number one son's homework and put number two son's micro scooter together. I also found time to get rid of the christmas wrapping paper and army of lego boxes at the tip too, the house is looking a bit clearer and tidier now...

Also went swimming in Deal, at Tides. Nice to be in the water with Number one son, see what he has learnt, but also number two son loved it there too. Thing one and I went down the big slide three times, that's the first time he's been on that flume.

Tried to have lunch in the pop up cafe, but it was shut. Then tried some cafe that I can't remember the name of. A place we had tried before, that is next door to the strange Italian / nightclub place we ate at last time... surely you remember? UPDATE that was Sid's wine bar pizzeria. Anyway, we nearly ate there, but were not made to feel welcome, like we were taking up too much room with the buggy, so we scrapped it, won't bother with that place again. Ended up on the sea front (walking past the Just Reproach - damn you #dryanuary) at the Royal Hotel. Nice place, nice spot, just a nice atmosphere inside. Good food for everyone else, not much for me though. I'd give it another go though, maybe get there earlier and try the vege breakfast. Definitely a place I'd like to sit for a beer anyway.

Watched plenty of TV, caught up with the muskehounds while Clare was out and started the grim grim grim new series of Spiral too. There's a lot of good TV on at the moment, what with that and also Death In Paradise and Broadchurch being back too.

Working from home today, had physio this morning, was quite useful really, I have a sheet of exercises to do that will hopefully stretch my hamstrings. The physio (physiologist?) things short hamstrings are the root of all my back pain issues.

dryanuary: Not drinking for all of January.
