Clare took number one son off to Ashford (twice in two days) for a school friend's cinema birthday party, they saw something with the Muppets in it. Clare didn't go in but loitered in Dobbies until the end, then they went for lunch in Pizza Hut. So Number two son and me were at home, lots of playing in the playroom, he can't get enough of the Brio wooden railway at the moment, we can play for hours down there.
I got some jobs done too, a couple of things cleared off my todo pile. One that's been sat there for a while is number one son's Playmobil fire engine needing new batteries for the remote control part of it. I finally replaced them and put it back together, it must have been sat there since christmas, and it was the perfect time to get it out again, he loved it. Then Number two son got hold of it and threw it down the stairs, and it's stopped working... I've taken it apart and can't find what's stopping it working, it is dead. The front wheels still work, it has remote controlled steering, just no power to the back wheels, so it useless. I'm quite tempted to get another remote control unit1 only it is quite expensive. Might take a look on the ebay, ideally I'd find someone who has one that is broken in a slightly different way and put the two together.
