Blog2014 ≫ Aargh, annoyed, broke the bureau

Just bust my bureau, this one:

Went out for a ride on my bike to Hythe, came back, put the bike in the study with my backpack still on, turned round to a huge splintering CRASH. I had knocked the fold down desk bit with my bag, it had swung down fast and pulled itself off its hinges. It has no chain or anything and the supports for the desk have to be slid out by hand when you use it. Bah.

It's done this before in it's 100 year+ history, but not since I've had it. Now how to fix it?

Another job on my list is to set up the new printer. I took it back to Tesco and got a replacement, will see if I have any more luck this time...

Clare and boys are still not back from Hythe yet. They took the car, but left it a short distance from Hythe so they'd all get a bit of exercise too.

💬 Got some glue!
