I think I have spotted a pattern, I use duct tape (duck tape, gaffer tape, whatever) to fix my raspberry pi camera module to something, and it stops working. It's all shorted out, because the tape is conductive.
Stupid boy.
I have just fried a raspberry pi and camera module this way, and it seems likely that this is why the shed pi stopped working too. I didn't tape that one, but something might well have touched the back of the camera module shorting it all out and ruining the pi itself.
