It's 1050 OG, in case I forget to make note of this anywhere else, and I put the yeast in at 26 degrees, maybe a bit hasty.
Clare has been out this evening at a friend's house, so I had a night in to play. I was going to try and get started on an electronic brewing assistant, to monitor the temperature for me, but doing the actual brew took up all of my time.
There was some impressive looking lightning out the front earlier, I was sure a massive storm was going to roll in, but it was just silent lightning flashes far out to sea. You might get some impression here, though mostly it was behind clouds, and I could only see it when it peeked out:
