  1. Bruce Forsyth does seem to be appearing in the first episode of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. BBC says he's there welcoming the new contestants on the red carpet. Clare's mum said she'd heard he'd be there to hand over, though he is not going to host the new series, and it turns out to be true!
  2. Wife and her mum are there, right now. Jeff has pulled strings to get them on the guest list for the show. Wife emailed the person who's running the guest list to say "Mum can only stand / walk for about 15 mins will that be OK?" and they've replied to say "no worries, we'll send a golf buggy to pick you up"! What a result, what lovely people. Clare's mum is real excited about this, I am so pleased.
