Blog2014 ≫ Save Princes Parade

Not sure how I feel about the Princes Parade1 development, mostly that it won't be a good thing, I don't trust the authorities on this issue. Some of it would likely turn out to be good for us over the long run, we might get some better local facilities, and (minor one this) it might be easier to park if we have to drive to thing one's school. Right now we can walk to the school, but sometimes we have to drop him off on our way to work to save time, so we do have to do the school run... Also I'm getting annoyed by all the emails from someone running Number one son's swimming lessons urging me to support the new development because they would like to move the swimming pool. I'm pretty confident (from years of reading Private Eye) that any public leisure facilities will be the first part of the project to fail, expensive housing will be built on this open land but mysteriously money will run out before any new swimming pool is built.
