Blog2014 ≫ More weekend fun

Did some DIY, a further step towards replacing the hallway downstairs with an identical replacement, so that no-one but me knows it has changed. I put on another door handle. Also another job no-one will see but I'll know it's good, I put a galvanised catch on the side gate, the old one (actually not that old, we put the gate on new when we moved in) had rusted away. That's one of the joys of living by the sea, the metal hanging basket bracket that was new last year is also rusting. We've been lucky with the car so far I think...

Also at the weekend tok Number one son swimming again, very proud of his progress he's underwater like nobody's business. Had a bit of a mooch around Hythe too.

TV is good at the moment, did not think much of the Jonathan Creek, but glad it is back, hope the next one is better. Really enjoyed the Midsomer Murders Danish crossover recently, lots of familiar faces from The Killing, a clever idea. Also on a very-gentle-crime tip we watched Rosemary and Thyme at the weekend. So predictable, but nice all the same.
