Blog2014 ≫ I just had a go on an Oculus Rift

That is the VR Headset1, it's really quite amazing, proper virtual reality. A friend at work has bought the development kit1. It's a lot of just looking round rooms at the moment, but I'm sure there are people desperately hacking away it it to make stuff. I'm off to look.

It brings Red Dwarf to mind, though so many things do right now. I don't even like Red Dwarf that much, though I used to. I have recently ripped my Red Dwarf DVDs as part of the process of getting everything onto hard drives. Just ordered two more drives so I'll have a 6TB NAS device should be enough room for everything (though that will be split into two duplicate 3TB stores).

I found a bundle of Red Dwarf magazines too in the boxes of comics that Mum and Dad brought recently. Really I'm not much of a fan.

Actually I do have $300 spare right now...
