Blog ≫ 2014 ≫ Don't tell me I missed the deal on the Sonos sound system!

They were offering a free bridge 1 2 with the Sonos 5 1 etc. And I missed it by dawdling! I'd more or less made up my mind to actually start spending some money. Everyone is going to be selling the bridge 1 that they got free with every speaker, so the price is going down anyway but that's not the point. Seems to have been a genuine deal, on something I was thinking of getting, and I missed it...

Happy New Year btw. Weather absolutely stinking here, all day. Much too bad to bother going out of the house, though I did actually have to go out and give the satellite dish a wiggle. Last night the weather was so bad as to knock out the TV signal.

  2. Updating this in 2024 I do have Sonos now, the bridge would have been useful. I got the Port in the end instead, I think the bridge was no longer available at that time. As I write this though my system is mostly unusable because Sonos broke the app big style. I can still play the TV, can't usually play vinyl, can occasionally play Sonos radio. Be very careful if you are buying anything Sonos, it is not entirely under your control when you own it.
