Blog2013 ≫ The rest of our house swap holiday

Thursday we'd planned to go to Paulton's Park but were not confident about the weather so headed down to Southsea again instead. We bussed it in from Cowplain (where we were staying) and so took the advantage of the travelcard to stop off at Commercial Road and see Mum at work. Then to Giraffe in Gunwharf for lunch, great but a bit pricey. Then back to Clarence Pier for Number one son's highlight of the day an hour in Pirate Pete's, a Kidz Planet type soft play area. We walked back up to Commercial Road to get a bus back, probably a mistake on my part, not the quickest route. Nice for me though to reminisce about all the places I used to go to as we walked past them. Scandal's is still there1 seems to be the same people behind it. They used to advertise in my fanzine Sold Out, TWENTY years ago...

Friday we had a family lunch in Prezzo in Port Solent, then a long and slow drive home after that, a dreadful dreadful journey. Really nice week though.
