Blog ≫ 2013 ≫ Nearly went to Googies today
I like the idea of frugal 'til february, a nice cheap set menu from Chambers in Folkestone!
Decided to head into Folkestone as we fancied Googies for a cafe type lunch, but Googies did not quite have room for us. Something's changed in there. We headed back up to Chambers instead, we should have just gone there first but I always think when I'm with the kids that we should not go to a pub... lunch there was great, really nice, and actually dead cheap, they are doing a frugal 'til february deal, chilli and a beer for five quid. We hung out there for a couple of hours and had a great time. Then I made my january even more frugal by buying the supplies I needed to do another large cider home brew.
It's been really nice having a long weekend like this.
