I have six GU10 downlighters in my kitchen, and EIGHT in our new downstairs room. They're 50w apiece, man alive I wish I'd given more thought to the lighting when that room was being done. They're all controlled by just one switch too. I am tempted to rewire the room already, such a shame seeing as it is so new. I will probably wait and fix up some of the rooms that get more use first, but still, I start to sweat when Number one son goes down there to play and all eight bulbs are on... Even though these lights below are very expensive per bulb, I think they will save me money over the medium to long run:
I'm using these LED's and they are fantastic: 20 of these lamps in my kitchen running via a Lightwaverf relay which is operated by a Lightwaverf PIR - ebay.co.uk/itm/PACK-OF-10-GU10-48pcs-3528SMD-LED-LIGHT-BULB-LAMP-3WATT-220-LUMENS-COOL-WHITE-/170830962802?pt=UK_Light_Bulbs&var=&hash=item27c651a072 1
3 of these lamps in a triple light ceiling fitting in my dining room running straight off of a Lightwaverf single gang dimmer - ebay.co.uk/itm/Dimmable-E14-SES-3-5Watt-LED-LIGHT-BULB-WARM-WHITE-CORN-LED-LAMP-/170930996417?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Lamps&hash=item27cc4804c1 2
That's from a post on an unofficial lightwaverf community forum...
Maybe I'll ask for a load more bulbs for my birthday or something.
