Blog2012 ≫ An Arduino flop

I tried to extend my arduino 1 experiment today, I soldered together a long cable with some batteries and a LM35 temperature gauge at one end, and connected it up to my "show a different light based on the temperature" arduino 1 setup. The plan was to put the sensor out in the garden to keep an eye on the temperature in the bird box. Did not work at all. I think it was trying to use a separate power supply, not having the common ground. Could just be the dodgy soldering though.

There was a bird back in the bird box again today, which was nice.
