Had a nice lie in this morning, mostly watching Arduino tutorials on youtube.com 1. Yesterday I did my first almost practical thing, without following a particular plan. I linked up one of the new thermometers to some LEDs, so when the thermometer went above a certain temperature the red light came on, otherwise the green light came on. Nearly practical, you can see the implications for this, it's a thermostat of sorts.
We headed to Canterbury for lunch, Strada, though the boy wasn't a particularly good boy, which coloured the whole lunch experience. We got through the rest of our shopping, mostly some new shoes for him for our holiday, and a bit of a look round, but I wasn't really in the mood. Went to Canterbury Whole Foods and got some wasabi chips (wasabi flavoured sort of rice cakes) and some of the beer that I missed out on at the recent Chambers Easter Ales Festival. It was a porter, brewed in Canterbury by The Foundry, so looking forward to drinking that this evening.
It's turned in to a lovely late afternoon / early evening, I even sat and had a cup of tea on the balcony.
