OK, not actually barred, and nothing to do with us performing well recently, but we are not allowed to go to the quiz at The Britannia tonight; they're overbooked. It's curry night tonight, which is always very popular. We tried to book in last Wednesday but were told only we might be squeezed in. Got the call yesterday to say no, we are not squeezed in.

This is my site The FG that I built in a frenzy of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a regular visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. This site used to be updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite venues + things, + I know it was a useful resource for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
