Great weekend visiting mum and dad. We set off fairly early on Saturday, the boy slept all the way there so we did not stop at all. Weather was atrocious and we forgot the boy's coat so we had to stop and buy him one when we got there, oops. We said our helloes, fed the boy, and then drove down to Nan's house so as to go to Portchester Gala. It's the annual village fair at Portchester Castle. Bad weather made it a bit of a wash out, there were lots of stalls and things there but not so many people at the time we got there. Saturday night we went out for dinner at Ask in Fareham with some friends. Our meal at Ask in Canterbury was only OK last week (they've had a rejig of the menu and a bit of a decoration, and it's taken something away from it. The Fareham branch however is still good, so the meal was great, and the company too. Went for a quick pint in The Crown after too, and Dad generously collected us to save on taxis. I repaid him by giving him a lesson about The Beatles when we got in. I think. I was a bit drunk.

Sunday lunch was also ace with all of the family. We celebrated father's day, and Mum's birthday, which is this week.

Quite a good drive back too, didn't stop until Maidstone to give the boy his tea. We nearly made it back in one go.
