Blog2009 ≫ Two trips to The Crown in one weekend

(a Wetherspoons). That is the end of my weekend roundup.

Just reviewing the rest of my weekend while I'm waiting for this video to finish. Went to The Crown on Friday night and thought it was a FINE venue for the Saturday night meeting up with a couple of friends. And it is! People look down their nose at the Wetherspoons but now I am a certain age I think it's great, real ale in comfortable surroundings and dead cheap. Not quite as many loons as [folkestonegerald.com/lord-arthur-lee-wetherspoons-/fareham/pub-booze-real-ale-venue-2945/index.html the bigger Wetherspoons in town| Lord Arthur Lee](http://www.folkestonegerald.com/lord-arthur-lee-wetherspoons-/fareham/pub-booze-real-ale-venue-2945/index.html the bigger Wetherspoons in town| Lord Arthur Lee). So @rolymo1 and @davebraines2 splendid to meet up with you and I hope we can do it again before Christmas.

Went out with mum and dad Saturday daytime to Gunwharf3, which was very busy despite the mental weather4. We shopped a bit, bought some clothes, and had lunch in Pizza Express. Not as good as normal, food took a long time and my pizza was a bit soggy. Still not bad though.

Final part of the weekend, very long drive back today. M25 was closed because of a fatal death smash this morning and all routes approaching it were heavily congested because of this, so we headed cross country, via Haywards Heath5 and Tunbridge Wells6. Nice interesting roads, but over four hours to get home.

I think that video must be done now that's about twenty minutes of encore we've had. Clare will be back soon, she is round a friends house watching I'm a Celebrity7, hope Jimmy White8 gets knocked out of it quickly so she doesn't feel the need to watch any more of it (she loves him).
