Blog2009 ≫ Good weekend

Funeral notwithstanding, went out Friday night with Clare, a rarity

As previously mentioned I was at a funeral on Friday, but apart from that the weekend was good. As sombre as the funeral was it was also a celebration of the life of Toby and it's really not often all the family is gathered together like that. The wake was at The Seagull, where I used to work twenty years ago. Most places seem smaller than you remember when you revisit them but The Seagull has somehow got a lot bigger.

Left the boy in with mum and dad and Clare and I went for a couple of drinks in The Crown (1/3 pint pick and mix real ale, brilliant idea) and then dinner at Ask, very nice.
