Blog2009 ≫ New king of quiz shows

BBC's Pointless with Alexander Armstrong is ace.

I have a new favourite quiz show, Pointless, and it is ace. Presented by Alexander Armstrong contestants have to try and come up with an answer that as few of the one hundred people surveyed did as possible. Possibly the same one hundred people that Family Fortunes1 uses, but more likely one hundred people around the office... Anyway, it's good, it's taken over from Countdown2 in my estimation. It's not quite as intellectual as this blurb from the beeb would have it, the categories are things like Madonna singles and names of countries:

A brand new brainy quiz in which contestants try to score as few points as possible by plumbing the depths of their general knowledge to come up with the answers no-one else can think of. Presented by Alexander Armstrong.

Speaking of which though how on earth did Rachel Riley3 get such a tan between Friday and yesterday? Did they take a break in filming? She is incredibly brown. I wonder if she started trying to cover up a blemish or something and just got a bit carried away with slap and covered her whole body.
