FG ≫ 2009 ≫ Someone just tried to add this "dover to st pancras"

Guessing folkestonegerald is difficult to use...

we are getting off a ship in Dover at 5:30 am we catch the Chunnel to Paris at 10:35. Can we make it. How do we make it. Is there a train. Is there a fast train,

Guess that means this site is confusing to use. Odd sort of journey though, can you not go from Ashford to Paris? I thought they'd been reinstated. Anyway, yes there is a train that will do this, kind of, see for that info. If it's today, well I'm too late for you. If it's tomorrow, you will still have trouble as there's a tube strike on so not sure of the best way from Charing Cross (where the London bound train probably terminates) to Kings Cross St Pancras.

There will be a new high speed rail link straight to St Pancras, starting later this year.

This is my site The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for favourite places + things, + I know it was a useful reference for others who were moving to the area. Now Iʼve moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesnʼt get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, the name comes from the name of a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE arenʼt they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
