Anchor Baby Recordings is a professional digital recording service, based in a beautiful studio, set in its own peaceful garden in Monks Horton, just outside of Folkestone in Kent. The studio was lovingly purpose-built in 1989 and has seen bands such as AC/DC and Wishbone Ash walk through its doors over the years.
I have been recording for 8 or 9 years, working with various setups and in various studios and have perfected the art of capturing raw energy and moments that tend to get lost on a lot of modern records. I'm a touring musician myself, so can relate to bands on both sides of the glass.
Please visit www.myspace.com/anchorbabyrecordings for pictures, information on the studio and my musical background, MP3s and more.
This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved here sometime in '04. I had been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. This site used to be updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
