Local news for local people! 6th June, near us. Think I can go..?
The Oxford heroes, whose sixteen year career has given to the world classics including "Moving", "Pumping on Your Stereo" and Summer anthem "Alright", are set to grace the main stage on Saturday 6th June.
The rest of the main stage line-up will be revealed over the coming weeks, but with a band boasting three platinum-selling albums and countless awards taking the top spot, Sellindge Music Festival is set to be the highlight of the Kent musical calendar!
This is part of my site The Folkestone Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for favourite places + things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, the name comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
