Damn, tried to beat the system this week, and failed. We went to see [abe]David Starkey[/abe] last night, presenting his new book Henry: Virtuous Prince1, part one of his biography. Very interesting, and makes a change to sitting in front of the telly, sort of. I was intending to get a signed copy of the book, knew it would be twenty five quid if I bought it there so ordered it from Amazon for half the price1. But it still hasn't turned up :-(
He'll be back next year, will get parts one and two done at the same time. Or, he only lives in Barham, that's on the bus route to Canterbury. We're off that way today, maybe we'll call in.
