Yeah shame

FG ≫ 2008 ≫ Yeah shame

7k a month is not a lot of profit though I don't think for a place that size. Did not realise it was owned by a brewery, are you sure? I think it was independent.

I heard the owners were scuppered after being fined for cutting down a tree, or something like that, but I can find no mention of such a tale googling.

Their portions were big, and the service was a bit grouchy at times, but I quite liked it. The food did not seem fresh cooked to order, but it was excellent pub food rather than fine dining anyway. Big portions and good beer too, mmm.

So where do we go now?

5k: Five kilometres, just over three miles in old money.

This is my site The FG that I built in a frenzy of enthusiasm when we first moved to Folkestone sometime in '04. I'd been a regular visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. The site used to be a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar and voting for favourite places + things, + I know it was a handy resource for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
