Are you down with OPP?

FG ≫ 2008 ≫ Are you down with OPP?

The excellent Other People's Photographs project has been absorbed into some Channel 4 project and is putting their name to opp2.org1. Only two pictures posted there from Folkestone, no actual connection with the OPP project as far as I can see so far. I will post my picture, that the Strange Cargo2 people used for the project, only seen it on the interactive cashpoint type setup so far though, not on an actual street sign.

Again this is from a freesheet, they say there's an exhibtion of the photos at the "St George's Gallery", I think it's called George's House though. Will go there tomorrow and check it out.

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite venues + things, + I know it was a useful reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
