Less than a week to go until our gig of the year The Cure at Wembley on Thursday. Got an automated call from at 8pm, so that gives them plenty of time to play the three hour set that [other countries have been getting1. Still can't get into 65daysofstatic really and the Cure are on at 7pm, so I don't suppose we'll head in much before the headliners.
Check out this setlist from their recent Paris show:
plainsong, prayers for rain, a strange day, alt.end, the walk, the end of the world, lovesong, to wish impossible things, pictures of you, lullaby, from the edge of the deep green sea, kyoto song, please project, push, how beautiful you are..., friday i'm in love, inbetween days, just like heaven, primary, a boy i never knew, shake dog shake, never enough, wrong number, one hundred years, disintegration,
E1: at night, m, play for today, a forest,
E2: the lovecats, let's go to bed, freak show, close to me, why can't i be you?,
E3: three imaginary boys, fire in cairo, boys don't cry, jumping someone else's train, grinding halt, 10:15 saturday night, killing an arab,
E4: faith
Four encores! Might be a bit tiring, but encore three sounds particularly good. They've been playing a lot off the first album at nearly all of their shows recently, as a reward for sitting through the whole set possibly. Looking forward to it!
Still seating tickets here at face value (35) or try your luck on ebay for standing tickets. Looks like you might be able to get tickets at less than face value there, bah. Good luck!
