⬆️Fullsome weekender

Just a thought, so bare with me on this one.

Reading your most recent post, I got to thinking about comments. Now someone may have already done this, but I got to thinking about the process of having to go to a comments page to make a tiny comment. Then I thought about how people comment on picture sites such as Flickr - where they highlight an area and put words to the picture.

So the concept of inline comments started to form. What if I just wanted to comment on a small part of your post, such as the Irish people singing? I could just highlight your text, right click, select "Comment" and type in a small comment. Then you could have a transparent box over that text that shows the comment as a tooltip when the user puts the mouse over it.

Now you're much better than I would be at bashing together some cheeky JavaScript, so I'll leave that to you. It was just a thought....

javascript: Programming language of the web, mostly how I make my living.
