New Place Down The Old High St

FG ≫ 2007 ≫ New Place Down The Old High St

Well it was the evening of the great quake but it was salad, sandwiches or soup - and the soup was off. Venue is nicely done but we were not quite sure if we were in a bar or a coffee shop. Hopefully they can get it together but we won't be going back until we get hear that they they have.

This is my website The Folkestone Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar + voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
