A burgeoning local film industry?

FG ≫ 2006 ≫ A burgeoning local film industry?

Sounds good, seen a couple of things in the paper about people making films locally, good luck with finding something locally.

I (not Steve T) am still commuting daily from the West End of Folkestone into London, it's exhausting innit? I am being made redundant at the end of the year, so hopefully something closer to home will come up then, or I'll get enough freelance stuff to see me through (web development, if you know of anything..?).

This is my site The FG that I built in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I had been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places and things, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, the name comes from a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
