Blog ≫ 2006 ≫ Anyone been made redundant before?

I have known it was coming for weeks but was really expecting to be paid off my super sized notice period - they want me to work it though 1. Damn, I have been putting off some work for the past couple of weeks thinking I wouldn't be around to see it through. Now I guess I do it, with as much professional pride as I can muster. Weird one.

Statutory redundancy pay 2 really does seem to be only 290 for each year of service, which is what I'd get.
