Christmas day's the next quiz

FG ≫ 2004 ≫ Christmas day's the next quiz

Don't be rubbing it in about your enormous mansion, we have traded in rented flats in the London for another flat in Folkestone, albeit quite a nice one... good to know there's more people out there in the same boat!

I Don't do sports, but there does seem to be quite a covers band scene in the area, see mrgig.com for more, and let me know if you form a band!

Next quiz we're going to is on xmas day at Chambers... it does seem like there are only stumbling pensioners and teenage car thieves in town at times, but my theory is there's a big population of cultured nobs like us, waiting by the front door ready to burst onto the streets and reclaim Folkestone as a Nice Place...

This website's my small attempt to stir up interest in things that I like, though as you can see it's a bit quiet so far...

This is my site The Folkestone Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for favourite venues and things, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
