Ooh ah, touch my bum

FG ≫ 2004 ≫ Ooh ah, touch my bum

I knew there was a recruitment fair at The Leas Cliff Hall last week, but no-one told me there would be VIP guests. Apparently they asked all the other local celebs (Vic Reeves, Lily Savage, Dot Cotton, seem to have missed me) if they could come and open it, but all busy, so The Cheeky Girls1 did it. They live locally, and did it for free, on the condition they could play their new single Cheeky Flamenco1, is this normal at a provincial job fair?

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when we first came to Folkestone sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar + voting for best venues + things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
