I thought we third generation IPOD types weren't going to get this?
Ah, that's the updates for all the different types, my type (seems Apple call it 2.2) only gets:
* Compatibility with [iTunes](/wiki/#itunes) 4.5 or later and [the iTunes](/wiki/#itunes) Music Store
* Improved playback performance
* Support for [the Apple](/wiki/#apple) Lossless Encoder, to enable compressed music encoding at high qualityAnd now I guess there'll be no more... I was expecting new games and all sorts, maybe it's time to take Linux for the IPOD seriously...
