That sounds about right. Then remembered that is the shared total between me and T2, so checked again. Yes, split very unfairly, £100 for him and £75 for me. He's winning more than his fair share. He will share that with T1.

Then saw we're overdrawn on the joint account and started looking at direct debits. But no savings to be had, two curious payments to "KentCC Receivables" turn out to be school bus passes. We pay a lot for that. And what looked like an abandoned mobile phone contract was actually our home broadband. Still pay day Friday will be back in the black again there. We just had a car payment and council tax in the same week. Outgoings come out monthly and my pay goes in four-weekly so we do get peaks and troughs there.

I got my money for selling shares (not the share save) so have put that to one side ready to pay for the new car, but still have some left for a nice backup Roberts radio. Going for one with DAB+ as well as FM, and that can recharge its own batteries or switch to regular AA batteries when needed.

I did check my stockpile of food we've maintained since covid times and found a tin of peaches at the back that is best before 2023... the rest is ok though! I do go through it regularly, we just have no reason to eat tinned fruit. I will eat them today and report back. Perhaps they have fermented. Cheers!
