Went to see Hyundai yesterday as our three year car finance deal was coming to an end, time to look at new cars. We thought we wanted the same car again, Hyundai i20, we like it, but we want a hybrid. Last time we ended up with all petrol by mistake, didn't feel a very modern concept for a new car. Turns out there is no hybrid version of the i20, the one we had before that was "mild hybrid" which means it has a battery that cannot power the engine. So also known as a "not hybrid at all". They've even stoppped doing them now. We were about to upgrade to the next model, pay more, get a proper hybrid, when we found the new Hyundai Ionic 3. It's not available yet round here but should be soon. Odd that the sales person didn't mention it to us until we mentioned it to her, hmm. Anyway, got one reserved, as soon as it is in it is ours. 100% electric, will have to get Octopus on the case to see how we can get the best tarrif for this. Also need a charging point on the front of our house. Also Mum and Dad you will have to get one too for when we visit you... Actually it will be fine we have gone for the one with the 300 mile plus range, which probably means 200 miles, but still enough to get to Hampshire and back.
I'm relying on this share save money to provide some extra deposit for this. We were in credit with our previous car, we thought we were not as we have had such low monthly payments. But it's all good. Share save should be with me in two weeks, I think I can look on my work email on Monday. The more of that I use to add to the deposit the lower our monthly payments would be. Then anyway pay day in less than two weeks, premium bonds prize day is also next week I think.
