Anti-migrant activist arrested after dinghy slashed in Channel
Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas has been arrested after a video appeared to show him slashing at a boat in the English Channel with a knife.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said a 37-year-old man of no fixed abode had been arrested after a "boat that had an emergency responder on board" was damaged in the Channel.
He was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life, "destroying ships" under the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 and "conduct endangering ships" under the Merchant Shipping Act 1995. He remains in custody.
No fixed abode though? That makes him sound homeless, but I bet he's making a mint from his social media antics. Is it that he lives in a hotel or something?

I joked that this was a great day to cross the channel, look how calm it was on Tuesday. Don't know this paddleboarder, but they were making the most of it. You can see across to France too.
Then today I saw a couple of parasenders I think? Is that what they're called? Swooping very low across the sea near here. That's how to cross the channel.
Still ill here, horrible cough. The boys went back to school. I did find some night nurse yesterday so had a good night's sleep, and felt OK first thing, but the cough comes back again. Looking forward to going back to bed again.
