Friday night in the garden of The Three Mariners in Hythe, as I slightly suspect I have covid, but still wanted to go out. Feeling better with it, better for a few beers and a walk home. The family have started again with the MCU so we watched Iron Man when I got in.
No running Saturday morning but up early and into Canterbury so T1 can sit his UCAT. You need to take this if you want to apply for medicine. We got there early and went in Caffe Nero, then he did his exam and we shopped for a bit. We waited for him to finish in the Wetherspoons. We never go in a Wetherspoons, and I've always had in my head that this one was the worst of the two in town but it was great! It's huge, and it was packed, and of course it's cheap. We had three soft drinks for less than a fiver. I could have got a vegan breakfast for £3.29! But no.
T1 smashed the UCAT:

We went for Wagamama to celebrate, and did a little shopping. I even bought some Terry Prattchett books in a charity shop! I had been thinking about The Long Earth, the one with Stephen Baxter 1, and it was good, and I never followed up on the rest of the series, so I picked those up. Then also some more JD Kirk. Then we went in HMV, there was live music, a one man outfit doing great Clash covers. T1 bought a CD and a poster here. He hasn't got a CD player yet but I said he could choose something and that's what he went for. T2 got a manga book and a t-shirt. He's into choosing his own clothes at last.
Got dropped off at The Three Mariners so I could go and look for my pen torch which I'm sure fell out of my pocket on Friday. Gah that is the second one I've lost! Did not find it. I will wait until they have a new version before I try and replace, and hopefully that will have tracking in it, or at least I can get it engraved with my phone number...
Today wife and T1 are going to the gym, and T2 and I are not.
