Blog2026 ≫ Balaclava issue solved

Just read another article about balaclava clad youths terrorising small towns on their souped up electric scooters. It does sound a lot like the biker gang hysteria of the 1950s or whenever it was. Every generation has a terrifying youth cult, it's a shame this one is a bit rubbish. Anyway, I have a plan. We need a supply chain attack, we fit all the balaclavas with remotely operated explosives like they did with the walkie-talkies or pagers or whatever that time. No-one is legitimately buying a balaclava are they?

Also today I realised "bally" is short for balaclava. When I heard Kneecap saying "bally up" I thought it was something to do with grabbing a weapon, getting tooled up. It means put your balaclava on. It's cold out there, you'll catch your death.

I feel I might have caught my death. Still got this cold type thing, it feels a lot like covid to me. Wife made a delicious Thai red curry for us today and I ate one of the dried chillis we were supposed to take out. It has made my head sweat and I hope this is going to fix me, ready to go to the pub tomorrow.

Been quite a good week of earnings, after the last couple of weeks feeling a bit broke. Obviously been paid, and not been on a huge spending bender so still doing alright. Then sold that record and the vending machine, and had dividends from the shares. Then didn't have to pay to go to London today and also just did twenty-four hours of on call - without geting called - so I get an extra payment for that. Kerching!

A clear sky and a moderate breeze, 9 - 19℃.
