When will the ° symbol get promoted to the first tier of keyboard symbols? The temperature is all anyone has talked about for months (it's going to be 27° today, 27℃), but it's quite hard to access. It's on the second page of symbols on my mobile phone and I have to ctrl-alt-space to get to it on this laptop.
Speaking of mobiles, I had a very distressing dream. We were all on holiday, I had got separated from the family at the hotel room, and then got lost, and my phone had been hacked or something so I could do nothing with it. Not call anyone, not see maps, not find any info. I am a bit lost without a phone these days, most people are. This is not news, this is not content, this is boring. Sorry.
On other technology is myspace really coming back?
MySpace, once the world's biggest social network, is flirting with a comeback. Its owners, brothers Tim and Chris Vanderhook, say they plan to relaunch the platform, though no date or product details have been announced.
A spokesperson for Viant, which owns MySpace, says the company does not have any updates to share "at this time."
What is the rule when the headline is a question? OK the headline there is not a question, the question there was mine, but it should be. I can't see it. I do see a well deserved backlash against the modern internet but I don't see something like that as an improvement. Also is there really a yearning for retro technology from the young people right now? Are they buying wired headphones and digital cameras and ipods again? I played a load of vinyl again yesterday, that's obviously nice, and I did charge up the ipod again to see if it works. It does, but not sure I have any headphones to plug into it. Maybe my big old over ear bluetooth headphones optionally work with wire, I'll have to try it.t
We went back to the Royal Norfolk again yesterday to play pool. It was another beautiful day, so Sandgate was busy, but inside the pub was quiet. Had a few games, had a pint of Harveys, then went to The Ship for another and to play some cards, then home to watch X-Men. We had been putting it off, I definitely had. Something about it doesn't appeal, and it still didn't after watching it. Their superheroes are all too magic, no back story. Will have to watch more to see if I'm wrong, especially as they're turning up in Avengers: Doomsday.
Sunny and a gentle breeze, 15 - 27℃.
